Description:

The Associated Press seeks a Sales Operations Administrator for its Washington, D.C. location.

This position will support AP’s broadcast sales teams and is responsible for the efficient and accurate administration of customer agreements, sales orders and the maintenance of customer and prospect accounts in the company’s CRM and data management systems. The individual will ensure compliance with company sales and business policies and work effectively with sales teams in supporting their sales activities.

Responsibilities:
Process and acknowledge customer contracts and cancellation notices
Prepare and review contracts for the radio sales staff
Monitor future starts, terminations and cancellations in territory
Collaborate with and advise sales staff on AP services, sales and rate policies and procedures
Review rate changes and process assessment notices to the billing department
Process advertising Barter Declaration of Clearance (DOC) station notifications for advertising sales rep firms
Confirm customer rate and service history
Issue service order requests
Handle routine administrative inquiries/requests from sales staff and customers
Coordinate and monitor contract enforcement issues
Update customer records in Master Database Management (MDM) and WebROX CRM system
Review and generate monthly re-instatements of annual, semi-annual and quarterly billing

Advanced-level professional competency in written and spoken English language is required. Authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.

Experience:

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or equivalent work experience with minimum 2 years prior contract or sales operations experience
Detailed-oriented and have strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner
Ability to multitask in prioritizing and meeting changing deadlines
Excellent people skills to interact with customers and staff on all levels
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience working with SalesForce.com a plus
Prior experience in radio or television industry is a plus
