Description:
Restaurant trade magazine located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is seeking a managing editor. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Writing features and shorter pieces
* Recruiting and managing freelance writing staff
* Developing story ideas
* Copy-editing and proofreading
* Participating in relevant industry groups
The company is located in new office space and offers a great work environment. Benefits include vacation, health insurance, 401k, etc.
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have several years of magazine experience; knowledge of the restaurant industry is a major plus. Great communication, writing/reporting, and editing skills are a must.
