Description:

The Mergermarket Group, a division of the Financial Times Group, is looking for an Investigative Reporter/Researcher to be based in Hong Kong. This is an opportunity to participate in shaping an innovative new product from one of the fastest-growing and most influential global providers of financial news. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team working under deadline pressure to produce news, analysis and background information on the families, business groups and individuals who dominate Asian emerging markets. Since the job requires building a network of sources in various industries (financial, corporate, legal) and countries, strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Experience:

-Understanding of financial markets
-Strong writing and research skills
-Experience in Asia preferred but not required
-Knowledge of Mandarin or Indonesian is a plus
