Description:
The Kitsap Sun is seeking a Special Publications Editor to participate in the development, management and production of special sections and niche publications, including community newspapers, a weekly sports tab and other specialty publications.
Responsibilities will include page design, copy editing, working with freelance contributors and syndicates, story planning, website administration, and editorial contributions.
A background in page design and copy editing is required, as well as the ability to communicate clearly internally and with contributors.
The Kitsap Sun offers a competitive salary and benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), and paid time off.
Experience:
Experience with local sports and community news is strongly preferred.
Writing experience and the ability to initiate new editorial ideas is a plus.
