Description:

Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers is seeking candidates for a full time evening local news editor position.

The job requires sharp decision-making skills while ensuring local stories are edited, posted to digital platforms and to production by deadline as well as shifting line ups while managing late-breaking news items.

Deadline to apply is 8/2/2012.

Experience:

Strong line editing skills and news judgment are a must.
This position is the bridge between the local news and evening production desks, so strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills are essential.
This editor will work closely with the metro editors to ensure execution of the content philosophy, while measurably meeting and exceeding deadline goals and quality standards. At least three years of daily newspaper experience is required, management experience is a plus.
