Description:
BAE Systems is seeking a Technical Writer professional to support a Government contract. The ideal candidate writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. The candidate must be able to acquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.
Other duties include but are not limited to:
• Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts.
• Conducts quality review of materials.

Experience:
Required Education:
11+ Years with HS or 7+ Years with AA or 5+ Years with BS or 2+ Years with MS or 0+ Years with PhD
Required Skills:
Must have experience with Data item Description and Templates. IBM and/or Microsoft certification in Engineering is highly desirable as is experience with Linux, Unix, AIX and Bi Directional Cross Domains.
