Description:
The MIX is an open innovation project aimed at crowdsourcing the future of management.
The MIX was co-founded by Gary Hamel, ranked by the Wall Street Journal as the world's most influential business thinker. The MIX is backed by several leading institutions, including McKinsey & Co, Dell, Red Hat, and Gartner. It has partnerships with Harvard Business Review, CNN Money/Fortune and a number of other prominent institutions. The site was launched in 2010 and is accessible at managementexchange.com. The MIX community is scaling rapidly with tens of thousands practitioners, the world’s leading management thinkers, and the leading idea contest in the field of management—the Harvard Business Review/McKinsey M-Prize for Management Innovation.
The MIX is looking for an Editor and Content Strategist who would:
1. Drive a variety of new and existing digital content initiatives, working in collaboration with other editors as well as design, commercial, and technical colleagues.
2. Identify and work with new contributors with original, influential ideas. Help authors shape their ideas to be effectively understood and widely shared on the web and other digital platforms.
3. Focus on metrics and user experience. Ask good questions and construct experiments to test hypotheses about how we might better meet audience needs and increase engagement.
4. Develop content in forms that make it immediately useful to the reader, including content collections and tools.
5. Manage editorial involvement in product launches and redesign projects. Work with other editors and the production team to ensure smooth editorial operations.
Experience:
• Wide-ranging, creative intellect and sharp editorial judgment
• Up-to-date understanding of digital trends and metrics
• Ability to spot, quickly shape, and reliably line-edit a good story
• Solid technical grounding – understanding of content management systems, experience with web redesigns, etc.
• BA or equivalent
