Editor of the New York Times Magazine and Assistant Managing Editor of the New York Times, Gerald Marzorati has held senior editorial positions at Harper's and the New Yorker and has written for many publications, most recently covering popular music for Slate and the Times Magazine. He is the author of Painter of Darkness: Leon Golub and his Times.
Professor of Journalism at Berkeley and James Clarke Chace Professor at Bard, Mark Danner has covered wars and political conflict in Haiti, Central America, Bosnia and Iraq. A regular contributor to the New York Review, he is the author of Torture and Truth and The Secret Way to War, among other books.
