Named a "Hero for the Planet" by Time Magazine, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s reputation as a resolute defender of the environment stems from a litany of successful legal actions. He helped Riverkeeper lead the successful fight to restore the Hudson River, spawning 177 Waterkeeper organizations across the globe. He is Senior Attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council, Chief Prosecuting Attorney for the Hudson Riverkeeper and Chairman of Waterkeeper Alliance. He has worked on environmental issues across the Americas and has assisted several indigenous tribes in successfully negotiating treaties protecting traditional homelands. A professor of law at Pace University as well as an award-winning author, his most recent book is Crimes Against Nature (2004).
