Reporter/Blogger - Dominion of New York
"Dominion of New York" is the international magazine of black intellectual swagger. We are a new online magazine that goes beyond the surface of news headlines to profile, investigate and satirize thinkers, problems and ideas of significance to the African diaspora. In addition, we blog about current events. Our racially diverse audience consists of people who love powerful ideas and smart, compelling journalism. They like to think deeply about black life. We are only 8-months-old but growing fast and gaining recognition from more established news organizations and advertisers. We just sold our first advertising -- to BMW -- and just signed a contract to partner with a large respected news organization. Another established news organization -- "The Awl," America’s largest online only literary journalism magazine -- just named us one of its favorite online magazines and predicted that we’ll be a big success. And, as bonus, our founder is an alumna of the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
